Tommy Ray Lindsay Obituary

Tommy Ray Lindsay, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away October 23, 2020 at the age of 63.  He was born June 17, 1957 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Troy Mack and Anita Nell (Detherage) Lindsay.  Tommy enjoyed fishing, traveling, going to the ocean and watching westerns.  He loved working and was in the construction business, pouring concrete.  Tommy was owner and operator of Lindsay Construction.  His son, Jay started working with him at the age 8, and had worked by his side since then.  Tommy was outgoing and loved to talk to people.  He loved God and enjoyed talking to his kids about God.  Tommy was a very giving person and would help his family and anyone in need.  He loved his kids and grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them.  His daughter, Ashley said that she was “the favorite.”  He will be deeply missed.  Tommy is survived by his wife, Cathy Lindsay, of Meeker, OK; 3 children, Amy Bloomer & husband, Terrell, of Shawnee, Jay Lindsay & wife, LaTasha, of Prague, OK, and Ashley Deveraux & husband, Chad, of Meeker, OK; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; mother, Anita (Detherage) Lindsay, of Tecumseh, OK; 3 brothers, Roy Lindsay & wife, Melissa, of Mustang, OK and Mack Lindsay & wife, Sherry, of Seminole, OK, and Floyd Lindsay, of Shawnee, OK; sister, Rhonda Trecek & husband, Greg, of Luther, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Try Mack Lindsay; and daughter, Charity Bussey.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 and from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, OK.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2020 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.  Interment to follow at Little Cemetery, in Seminole, OK.  Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
