<p>Michael Ira Werley</p> <p>March 1955 &ndash; October 2020</p> <p>On the afternoon of Friday October 23rd Mike was taken from us in a tragic vehicle accident in Fountain Hills, AZ.&nbsp; He passed away at the young age of 65.</p> <p>Michael was born to the parents of Ira and Fran Werley and resided in New Jersey.&nbsp; Michael&rsquo;s parents moved him and his brother Alan Werley to Arizona when Mike was just in the 7th Grade.&nbsp; He resided in the Avondale/Goodyear area where he lived the remainder of his life.&nbsp; Mike graduated from Agua Fria Union High School class of 73&rsquo; where he had remained in close contact with many of his classmates and he and his wife Dayna attended many reunions throughout the years.</p> <p>In January 1980 Mike became a proud father to his handsome son Michael Ira Werley Jr.&nbsp; and was blessed with his beautiful daughter Autumn Lynn Werley in December 1982.</p> <p>He joined the APS Family out at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and enjoyed his career there of 33 years making lifelong relationships with friends there over the years.</p> <p>In 2001 Mike married the love of his life Dayna.&nbsp; This is also the same year they became grandparents so it was a really great year!&nbsp; Mike and Dayna enjoyed life to its fullest first by celebrating their honeymoon at Disneyland and took lots of adventures together during their 20 years of life including lots of travel, being involved in the 2A community, becoming firearms instructors, and competing in firearm competitions.&nbsp; Mike was a very social, outgoing and compassionate man.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.&nbsp; Michael was the type of person that if anyone needed him, he would make sure to make time to hear you and help you in any way possible.&nbsp; Mike always had a positive attitude and was very supportive of all his family and friends.&nbsp;</p> <p>Michael is survived by his wife Dayna, mother Fran, brother Alan, children Michael and Autumn, Son-In-Law Frank Celaya, grandchildren Frankie, Daniel, Gabriel, Jonathan, Amaya, Mason, Aiden, Christopher, Christian, Gianni and 6 great grandsons.</p> <p>Michael will be laid to rest Monday November 2nd, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park located at 355 W. Round Valley Rd., Payson, AZ 85541.</p>

I met Mike when we were working at PVNGS. Mike was one of the most pleasant men i have ever known. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. My life was definitely made better for having known him.
