Blake Burger

<p>Blake was born October 15, 1993 in Santa Ana, California to Kimberly Lewis. He honorably served in the United States Army, did training at Fort Benning, Georgia and was later stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado.&nbsp; Blake was a decorated soldier receiving the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal.&nbsp; Blake&rsquo;s military career as a Calvary Scout then later, Specialist in the Striker Brigade, ended with a fatal roll-over that left him partially disabled. Once honorably discharged, he continued his education and in 2019 graduated from the Aviation School of Mechanics in Las Vegas, Nevada. &nbsp;</p> <p>From a very young age Blake loved history and excelled in his scholastic education. His senior year he knew he wanted to make a career in the military and enlisted in the Future Soldier Program at Silverado High School.&nbsp; Additionally, Blake participated in extracurricular activities to include football, soccer and wrestling.</p> <p>Blake loved spending time with his friends and the comradery with his brothers was what he enjoyed the most. He had&nbsp;quite a&nbsp;witty sense of humor&nbsp;and loved to tell wayward jokes, an infectious laugh and smile and a compassionate spirit. He loved to fish, ride atv&rsquo;s through the mountain trails of Duck Creek Village, wrenching on vehicles and riding motorcycles with his friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Blake was a true hero and even in death donated his heart so another could live. He is survived by his mother, Kim Hoffman, step-father Stefan Hoffman, father, Sean Burger, sisters,&nbsp; Haley and Ashley, his beloved son, Jameson Burger,&nbsp; his grandmothers, Donna Lewis, Ginny Burger, Leslie Hoffman and &nbsp;grandfather, Ray Burger. In addition, he will be forever loved by his Aunt Lisa, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Tony and numerous other relatives and friends.</p> <p>Funeral services to be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 2:00pm. Flowers may be sent to 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119.</p>
