James Pressley

Williamston - James Gary Pressley, 92, husband of Velma Sentell Pressley, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Talmadge and Dorothy Lois Forrester Pressley. He retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company and was a life member of the Williamston Masonic Lodge # 24. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he was a Deacon Emeritus, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and served on the Stewardship and Finance Committees. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jennifer E. Pressley of Williamston and Melissa A. Pressley of Simpsonville; son, Ronald E. Pressley (Carolyn) of Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren, Kristin P. Gilmer (Tracy) and Ashley P. Herrin (T.J.) of Hattiesburg, MS; and five great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kenzie, Slade, and Olivia Gilmer, and Alec Thompson. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Pressley. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, with the service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Building Fund, 10 Academy Street, Williamston, SC 29697. The family is at the home. Gray Mortuary, Pelzer
