<p> </p> <p>Obituary of Mrs. Mildred J. Hipkins </p> <p>Mrs., Mildred J. Hipkins of Millsboro, DE passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. She was 71 years old. </p> <p>Mildred was born in Selbyville, DE on February 14, 1949 to the late Alfred C. and Alberta Phillips Bunting. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Jean Collier. </p> <p>She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, crochet, shopping, traveling and flowers. Mildred was very friendly, and easy to talk to. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed. </p> <p>She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Leon W. Hipkins, II of Millsboro, DE; three children, Deanna Doherty (Robert) of Wurtsboro, NY; Dale Hipkins of Highland Mills, NY and Crystal McGee (Keith) of Millsboro, DE. She has three brothers, Alfred “Bud” Bunting (Linda) of Selbyville, DE; Russell Jay Bunting (Rita) of Chipley, FL and John Kevin Bunting of Selbyville, DE as well as one sister, Myra Jane Whitaker (Danny) of Belle Glade, FL. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Rebecca Doherty, Ryan Doherty, Sarah Hipkins, Taylor Hipkins, Derek Hipkins, Connor McGee and Kyleigh McGee. Mildred is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. </p> <p>A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM for viewing and visitation. Private interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
