Valdor “Val” R. Michaud

Valdor Michaud, 81, passed away unexpectedly October 24, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born in Grand Falls, N.B., February 23, 1939 the son of Denis and Yvonne (Roberge) Michaud.

He moved to Bradley in 1957 and worked for 10 years at Penobscot Shoe and later Diamond International/James River until his retirement at the age of 57.

Val loved riding his motorcycle, watching Nascar and going to Speedway 95. He enjoyed 4 wheeling and snowmobiling. Val was an avid exerciser his whole life, enjoying walking and riding his bicycle. He was a member of the Gold Wing Association, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #344.

He loved his family and lived his life simply and on his own terms.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Hermel Michaud a sister, Odette Hewett and an infant daughter, Danielle Michaud.

Surviving are his daughter, Sherry Haller of Bangor; two sons, Ron Michaud of Greenbush and Scott Michaud of Lincoln; granddaughter Megan Haller of Hermon; grandsons, Corey Michaud , Tyler Michaud, Robbie Michaud and Ronnie Michaud; and two great grandchildren. He was very close to his brother, Alyre Michaud and significant other Audrey.

Val had a special friend in his life for many years, Jean Mathews.

As dad would say, “Anyway, Anyway.”

We love you dad and will miss you forever.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
