Pawtucket – Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Berube) Cordeiro, 73, of Hillcrest Avenue, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late Urban “Ebby” Cordeiro.

Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Emile and Rita (McGovern) Berube, she had lived in Pawtucket for the past fifty-four years.

Mrs. Cordeiro worked as a waitress for Chelo’s in Warwick before retiring.

She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Cordeiro, and his wife Deborah, of Cranston, Michael Cordeiro, and his wife Jennifer, of Riverside, and Brian Cordeiro of Boston, Massachusetts; two sisters, Patricia Valliere of Wyoming, R.I., and Kathy Souza of East Providence; two brothers, Edward Berube of Narragansett and David Berube of Pawtucket; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Robert Berube.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.  Burial will be in Saint Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Friday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed, and all guests will be required to wear a mask.
