<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:20px;">Steven Wayne Samson was born December 9th, 1976 to Eugene and Arlene Samson (nee Cardinal). He is survived by his special friend, Trista Ward; daughters, Tressa Soosay (Hector), Mena Samson and grandchildren Kurtis, Mia and Ava; his brothers, Derek and Kyle Samson, Darren Christopher Cardinal;&nbsp; sisters, Duanna Johansen and Kayla Samson; his aunties, Glenda Swampy, Janice Starlight, Cynthia Swampy, Tannis Swampy (Jason), Wendy Cardinal, Norine Cardinal (Arthur Smiley); uncles, Derwin Swampy, Leon (Julie) and Leslie (Marilyn) Cardinal as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:20px;">Steven is predeceased by his brother, Kirk Samson;&nbsp; maternal grandparents, Frank &amp; Jennie Cardinal (nee Bull);&nbsp; paternal grandparents, William &amp; Philomena Samson (nee Smallboy); uncles, Clifford, Wayne &amp; Chester Cardinal, Billy Swampy; aunts, Rema Chief (nee Cardinal); cousin, Wolfgang Rain;&nbsp; sister-in-law, Terranda Samson; maternal great-great-grandfather, Jacob Bull &amp; Mistik;&nbsp; paternal great-great-grandfather, Ahpiciciw (Coyote Bobtail&rsquo;s son) and great-grandmother, Isabelle Smallboy.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:20px;">Steven was proud business owner of a High Pressure Steam Truck; he also worked in the Oil Field Business as a vac truck driver for various companies, and a wild land firefighter.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:20px;">He loved the outdoors especially the mountains he skied, snow boarded, bungee jumped and skydived - he loved the adrenaline rush. He initiated into the Pow Wow Circle as a Traditional Dancer during the Samson Cree Nation Celebration. This was when he embraced our culture and traditions.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:20px;">Steven had a special bond with all his family and they would have stories of how he was their protector.</span></p>
