<p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Thomas Wayne Holcomb, 76,&nbsp;born November 14, 1943&nbsp;to&nbsp;Wilford Thomas&nbsp;Holcomb&nbsp;and Ruth Wesley Solly Holcomb, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:20 pm at&nbsp;Garden&nbsp;View Care Center&nbsp;in Valley Park,&nbsp;MO&nbsp;where he received excellent medical care.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Tom had two sisters, Margaret and Theresa, as well as his&nbsp;deceased&nbsp;wife, Margaret&nbsp;and deceased partner, Manny.&nbsp;</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Throughout most of his career, Tom faithfully served the Roman Catholic Church as&nbsp;an Organist, Pianist and Choir Director&nbsp;for many years&nbsp;in the Diocese of Memphis, TN. and&nbsp;the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO.&nbsp;In both locales,&nbsp;Tom was known for his exceptional musicianship and dedication to music ministry.&nbsp;Having a marvelous, outgoing personality and great sense of humor.</strong></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Tom was known and loved by many, especially the Sisters of Charity in Nazareth, Kentucky.&nbsp;&nbsp;He excelled in hosting&nbsp;multiple social&nbsp;gatherings, particularly during the Holiday Season, and brightened countless&nbsp;individuals with his care and&nbsp;goodness. Once you became a friend of Tom, you were&nbsp;dear&nbsp;friends for life. Obituary

Thomas Wayne Holcomb, 76, born November 14, 1943 to Wilford Thomas Holcomb and Ruth Wesley Solly Holcomb, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:20 pm at Garden View Care Center in Valley Park, MO where he received excellent medical care.

Tom had two sisters, Margaret and Theresa, as well as his deceased wife, Margaret and deceased partner, Manny. 

Throughout most of his career, Tom faithfully served the Roman Catholic Church as an Organist, Pianist and Choir Director for many years in the Diocese of Memphis, TN. and the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO. In both locales, Tom was known for his exceptional musicianship and dedication to music ministry. Having a marvelous, outgoing personality and great sense of humor.

Tom was known and loved by many, especially the Sisters of Charity in Nazareth, Kentucky.  He excelled in hosting multiple social gatherings, particularly during the Holiday Season, and brightened countless individuals with his care and goodness. Once you became a friend of Tom, you were dear friends for life. His strong Irish personality would always defend you if someone might be speaking ill of a comrade. 

Tom labored illustriously at work but possessed equal energy by celebrating life in many ways. He will be greatly missed. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s memory may be given to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, St. Louis, MO. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, St. Louis, MO.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, St. Louis, MO.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
