Erika Gröss Spector
Erika Spector, 80, of Yalesville passed away peacefully on October 24th at the Madison House in Madison, CT. She was the beloved mother of Dieter Scheller of Meriden, Thomas LeBlanc of Yalesville, James and Laurie LeBlanc of Virginia, Michael and Diane LeBlanc of West Haven, and Gerald and Stacie LeBlanc of Madison. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Erika was born January 21st, 1940 in Rockenhausen, Germany to Emil and Emilie Gröss. While in Germany she attended business school learning the shoemaking trade before emigrating to America and becoming a machinist. After having 1 son in Germany and moving to America with her husband, she had 4 more sons. She was a very hard worker and taught her sons to be the same way. She worked for Pratt & Whitney for 25 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who loved her. The funeral service will be private.Obituary
