Donald John Valente

On October 24,2020 Donald J. Valente passed away peacefully at the age of 60 in Annapolis, Maryland Donald was born March 9, 1960 in Yonkers, New York to Donald Valente and Patricia Posch, both of whom have predeceased him. He was one of 6 children Donald is survived by his brothers and sisters, Linda Potocki (Charlie), Lois Haynes (George), Daniel Valente (Diana), Edward Valente (Geralyn), Eileen Young (Bob), many nieces and nephews, his aunt and uncle Mr. & Mrs. Bill Hack, and his longtime best friend, Susan Alexander. While proudly serving his country in the US Army for 3 years, Donald earned his high school diploma from St Louis High School of Honolulu,Hawaii. Donald mastered his trade and took pride in working various construction jobs in New York and Maryland and later worked at a Real Estate Title Company in Maryland. He was always quick to lend a helping hand and was generous to a fault, a champion for the underdog and a lover of animals, especially strays who he would feed and care for. There is not a person that he has touched with some form of kindness that wouldn’t be able to smile from a memory of him. He had a great wit and knew how to get you going, all he needed was an audience and you were guaranteed a laugh. He especially loved spending time with his family and his beloved nieces and nephews who he would love to brag about. He was an avid New York Mets and New York Jets fan. Rest in peace dear brother, uncle and friend-we love you. You will be missed beyond words. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 1,2020 from 5-7 PM at the Hardesty Funeral Home P.A. 12 Ridgely Ave Annapolis, Maryland. Burial will be private for the family.
