Her Legacy... Bolenbaugh, Lenora, Mae age 84 of Jackson passed away May 23, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. She was born on August 29, 1932 in Grandville, MI the daughter of Albert Jacob and Gertrude (Hoeve) Kooienga. Lenora married Thomas Bolenbaugh on August 27, 1950 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed her employment as a switchboard operator, a “hot-lunch lady” for Addison Schools, taking meals to Devils Lk. Grade School. Later in life, Lenora and Thomas were the caretakers of the former Stormont Chapel in Grasslake. She loved to play scrabble, knit, and search-a-word puzzles. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Cement City Baptist Church, and later volunteered at Cedar Knool Rest Home.   Her Family... Lenora is survived by her children: Susan (Richard) Streams, of Onsted, Kevin Bolenbaugh, of Hillsdale. Siblings: Jerome Kooienga, Norman Kooienga, Karen Nykamp and Gloria Beek; Lenora was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, Parents and infant Daughter: Janice Marie. Sisters: Marcia Aernouts, Aberdane Leenheer.  Her Farewell... Interment at Maple Shade Cemetery, Onsted, MI.
