<p>A Homegoing Celebration for Sister Delores M. Mond of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 will be held Saturday, October 31st, 1:00 p.m. at Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2607 E. 24th Avenue, Bishop Sylvester Robinson, officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of&nbsp;Memories Cemetery.</p> <p>Sister Delores M. Mond was born December 2, 1929 in Macon, Georgia. She graduated from Palm Beach Public School System. She matriculated at Florida Agricultural Mechanical University, where she received a degree. She was employed as a school teacher in the Hillsborough County Public School System over 30 years teaching Physical Education. She taught at the following schools Booker T. Washington Senior High School, Middleton High School and Memorial Middle School and retired while teaching at Robles Elementary. She was the championship basketball girl&rsquo;s coach at Booker T. Washington Senior High School. She was a well-known teacher in Hillsborough County Public School System.</p> <p>She leaves to cherish wonderful and loving memories that will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her loving sons, William H. Stokes, III (Carla), Michael B. Stokes, Sr. (Maggie); loving grandchildren, Antoinette Stokes, Bryant Wilburn (Tonecia), Tiffanie Davis (Alton, Sr.), Tanisha Stokes, Michael Stokes, Jr. (Desiree); goddaughter, Retha Hobbs; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives; special thanks to Bamboo Villas Assisted Living Facility and Staff, Aikens Funeral Home and Staff, Bishop Sylvester Robinson and Peace Baptist Church Family.</p> <p>The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 30th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family will be present from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
