<p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Anne Marie Zarowny (nee Gellings)</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">February 3, 1943 &ndash; October 22, 2020</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Marie Zarowny announce after a long and brave battle with cancer, her passing on October 22nd&nbsp;at the age of 77 in Stony Plain, Alberta.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Anne was born in Rosemary, Alberta on February 3, 1943 to Richard and Lois Gellings. The family lived in Bassano and Rimbey before moving to Bear Canyon in 1958. It was there that she met Jim.&nbsp;&nbsp;On July 14, 1961 Anne married James (Jim) Zarowny of Clear Prairie, Alberta. They started their life farming in Clear Prairie prior to moving to Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray and Darwell.&nbsp;&nbsp;Together Anne and Jim spent their last 37 years of Anne&rsquo;s life residing at Fallis, Alberta where they have made lifelong friends.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Anne leaves behind her loving husband James W (Jim) Zarowny, her four children; daughter Marette Zarowny (Bob Kelly), son Jim (Laura) Zarowny, daughters Carole (Ian Johnston) and Christine Pohl. Grand children Danielle (Chris) Ceglarek, Derrick (Lindsay) Pond, Franki (Mark) Grenier, Tanner (Jaycee) Zarowny, Kaitlyn Pohl (Mark Haberstock), Jarrett Pohl (Anastasia), and great grand children Rebecca, Maya and Brooklyn Haberstock and Landon Ceglarek. Brothers and sisters&nbsp;Lane (Marie) Gellings, Joan (Gordon) Conrad, Lee (Bonita) Gellings, Dennis (Jean) Gellings, and Ruth (Trenton) Lovlin, sister-in-law Shirley (Peter) Klymchuk, brothers-in-law Wally (Judy) Zarowny and Walter Buyar, and numerous nieces and nephews.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Anne was predeceased by her father Richard Gellings, her mother Lois Gellings, brother Paul Gellings, father-in-law Walter Zarowny, mother-in-law Nancy Zarowny and sister-in-law Isabel Buyar.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Society at&nbsp;www.AlbertaCancer.ca/donate/&nbsp;and select the Cross Cancer Institute.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">A short Grave-side service will take place at 12:30 at the Fallis Cemetery, located south of Hwy 16 on RR52, then turn left approximately 0.7 kilometres off Hwy 16.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Anne Marie Zarowny (nee Gellings)

February 3, 1943 – October 22, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Marie Zarowny announce after a long and brave battle with cancer, her passing on October 22nd at the age of 77 in Stony Plain, Alberta.

Anne was born in Rosemary, Alberta on February 3, 1943 to Richard and Lois Gellings. The family lived in Bassano and Rimbey before moving to Bear Canyon in 1958.
