Manuel Arturo Garcia Obituary

Manuel Arturo Garcia, 70, parted on October 25, 2020, in Houston, Texas.  He was born to parents Arturo Garcia and Colema Abad on November 2, 1949 in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

As a child at the age of 6 he first learned the meaning of the word work by helping his father on the farm to help support the family.  As he grew up his hobby became repairing and painting cars.  It started as a hobby and then became his profession.  At the age of 23 he met the love of his life, Rosa Elia Garcia Rico whom he married and then they both migrated to the United States.  He used his skills that he learned of the years to make a living in the US. After many years he purchased his own dump truck and was self-employed until he retired at the age of 66.  His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and friends, listen to music and drink his Miller Lite.  He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Elia Garcia Rico.  His children, Manuel Arturo Garcia Jr. and his wife Patricia Garcia, Marla Lizbeth Garcia and her husband Leonel Anguiano and Brenda Arely De La Garza and her husband Adrian De La Garza.  He left a family legacy of grandchildren, Manuel Arturo Garcia III, Adrian De La Garza, Aaron Isaias Garcia, Carlos Andres Hinojosa, Bianca Isabella Garcia, Chloe Darely De La Garza and Zoe Chanel De La Garza.  His great grand children Cristian Aaron Hinojosa and Anthony Jay Garcia. His brothers, Alberto Garcia and Juan Jose Garcia and sister, Maria Del Socorro Garcia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo Garcia and Colema Abad. His brother Javier Garcia. His grandson Joel Hinojosa III.

He will be laid to rest at Klein Cy-Fair.  We will gather to celebrate his life on November 2, 2020 at 11:30 a.m.
