Gerald Evans

Gerald (Gerry) Evans, 75, of Brooksville, passed away on October 26th, 2020 at Sturgill Hospice House. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and came to reside in Florida 45 years ago. He graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Forestry. After he graduated, he began working for Kirby Lumber Company in East Texas. He then went to work for the Florida Division of Forestry, where he met his wife, Glenda (Bishop) Evans. After this, he went to work for the Natural Resource Planning Services. He served in the Coast Guard Reserves in college was an avid member of the Knights of Columbus, The National Resource Planning Services, and a former member of Spring Hill Cruisers, but became active with the Spring Hill Muscle Car Club. Gerry was a fan of Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, bowling, antique cars, and classic rock music. Gerry is predeceased by his Mother, Father, and Jane Parker (sister). He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Glenda Evans of Brooksville; 3 sisters, Barbara Preibs of New Jersey; Claire Castles and her husband, Joe of Texas; Terri Diehl and her husband, Bob of Texas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and John Burkman of Brooksville; 17 nieces and nephews; loving family and friends.
