Dora Belle (Brian) Hopson, 87, of Colby, died Monday, October 26, 2020, at Citizens Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1933, in Lyndon, KS, to Leroy and Thela (Seigal) Brian. She attended school in Brownville, KS and Brewster, KS, where she graduated from high school. She married Charles Hopson in May 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; brothers, Philip Brian and Ray Brian; sister, Sharon Brian; step-son Dwight Hopson and step-grandson Chuckie Hopson. She is survived by her children, Janet Hopson, of Colby, Darren (Cheri) Hopson, of Colby; siblings, Eugene (Betty) Brian, of Norton, Robert (Sharon) Brian of Florida, Dona Plantz, of Topeka, Mary (Bill) Torbit, of Mesa, AZ, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Brian, of Hutchinson, KS; step-children, Sharon (Hopson) Taylor, of San Antonio, TX, Wesley (Kathleen) Hopson, of Loveland, CO, Lesley (Teresa) Hopson, of Bethune, CO; 3 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren, and 2 step great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Beulah Cemetery, Colby, at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2020. In lieu of flowers, Dora requested donations to the Colby VFW Women’s Auxiliary or any diabetes or Down Syndrome foundation.
