Patrick R. Buckland, 90, of Freeport, NY passed away peacefully at his home with his family surrounding him on Monday October 26, 2020. He was born on July 23, 1930 in England to Alfred and Violet Buckland. An esteemed past President of the Freeport Kiwanis Club, Past Lt Govenor of the Kiwanis L.I.S.W. Division, and Board Member for the Freeport Salvation Army. Retired Plant Manager for Lombardi's Design Manufacturing. Survived by his adoring wife of 40 years, Yvonne Buckland, and his children, Karen Buckland, Robert Buckland, Don Mitchell, Simone Mitchell, Rory (Vera) Mitchell, Romalia (Donna) Mitchell, Allison Mitchell, Marcia Mitchell, and Gina (Michael) Wrubel. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Alfred and Violet Buckland, and sisters, Frida and Violet. Dear brother to Dennis Buckland, beloved grandfather of 9, and great grandfather of 6, and lovingly known as Uncle Pat to many. Family will recieve friends on Wednesday October 28th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. During this unprecedented time, and in compliance with guidelines stipulated by the Centers for Disease Control and the NYS Department of Health, we are forced to limit attendance at visitations, memorials, and funeral services to 50 people or less. Our staff may ask mourners to wait outside the chapel, outside the funeral home, or to keep their visit brief so as to allow others an opportunity to mourn. While in the funeral home, we are requesting all visitors to wear a mask and to limit physical contact such has hugging, handshaking, or contact with the face.
