Virginia Anne Gervais

The sudden passing of Virginia Anne Gervais of Fredericton, NB, wife of Leonard Gervais occurred on Friday, October 23, 2020. Born on February 7, 1964 in Fredericton Junction, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mathilda (Lizotte) Carter. She was the greatest loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She treasured the residents of The Guardians Special Care Home. She always thought of others before herself, making sure everyone was looked after; she was the glue that held her family and business together. She enjoyed bingo, karaoke, sea doos; weekends at her cottage with family and friends. Her beautiful heart and soul will be sadly missed, especially by her loving, husband, sons, granddaughter and family; she touched the lives of so many people. In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by sons, Joshua Gervais and Nolan Gervais (Hailey Guest); granddaughter, Lydia; sister, Brenda Dube (Robert) and Donna Davenport (Richard); brothers, Donald Carter (Bertha), Roy Carter, Adam Carter (Edwina) and James Carter (Renee); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Carter; brother, Ronald Carter and sister in law, Wendy Hill-Carter. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 6:30-9 pm. Due to the current health situation, the Funeral Service by invitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11 am with Canon T. A. Smith officiating. The public are invited to attend via. www.yorkfh.com funeral webcast. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or Special Olympics New Brunswick.
