Richard Duby

Richard Duby, 78, of Belchertown was called home to be with God on Friday October 23, 2020. Born in Ludlow to the late Eugene and Rita (Dumas) Duby he has lived in Belchertown for many years and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish in Ludlow. Richard worked for 35 years at Smith and Wesson before his retirement and was an avid outdoorsman and gun collector, he also enjoyed NASCAR and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Patriots. He leaves his beloved wife Sandra (Wilson) Duby of Belchertown; loving sons Matthew Duby and wife Mary of Monson, Benjamin Duby and his girlfriend Christina Prevost of Three Rivers and Jonathan Duby of South Hadley; adored grandchildren Autumn Ingram (Ryan), Lindsey Duby and Amber Duby; caring brother to Marion Nummy and husband David and sadly predeceased by his sisters Janet Granger and Susan Tremble. He also leaves his former daughter-in-law Laurie Peterson. Funeral services for Richard will be held on Wednesday October 28, 2020. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Elizabeth Parish in Ludlow for a 10:00am Liturgy of Christian Mass followed by a funeral procession to Hillcrest Cemetery in Belchertown for burial. Ludlow Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
