Janice Maie Gaines

JACKSONVILLE  -  Janice Maie Gaines, 84, OF Jacksonville, died Friday, October 23, 2020 at her residence.

        Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home Jacksonville Chapel with Pastor Mike Padgett officiating.  Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaines was born in Folkstone and was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Virginia Hartfield Hobbs.

        Ms. Gaines is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Gaines of the home; three stepdaughters, Charlene Pla (Tom) of Auburndale, FL, Della Ramach (David) of Jacksonville, and Becky Wike (Ken) of Denver, PA; an adopted grandson, Steven Gaines (Amanda); three sisters, Maurice Ennett of Hampstead, Millie Prechtle (Mike) of Sneads Ferry, and Sherrie Batson (Wright) of Rocky Point; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren brother, Johnny Hobbs and sister, Dianne Turner (Grady)

        The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
