Sylvia Mary Wagenaar (Goodwin) Peacefully at Toronto General Hospital on October 23 at the age of 73. When you look back on the life of Sylvia, I hope you smile and remember a funny story or a happy memory and find peace knowing that she was loved. To many of you she was Sylvia, a friend, co-worker, a confidant, but to her family she was our Baboo, a living legend. Her infectious laugh was one that could be heard above all others at any gathering. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Louza and Paddy Goodwin, life partner to Karl Hoffman, mother to Jeff (Melissa) and Jason (Mandi), predeceased by brother Pat, sister to Roger, Dian (Angelo), and Barb (Dave), sister in law to Ruth. Loving Grandmother to Shayna (Billy), Hailey (Noah), Nolan, Charley and Mason. Great-grandmother to Dominick and Deacon. An Aunt and a friend to so many and loved by everyone. She was our family matriarch never judging always encouraging. She was passionate about her family and loved to spend time with them. She made everyone feel loved and it was always a good time if Sylvia was involved. We will miss you every day, your light can never be extinguished because it lives in all of our hearts. At this difficult time, we remember “how lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” (Winnie the Pooh).
