<p><strong>Laura Jean Ellis, age 83 of Oneida, TN departed this life and was reunited with her Savior on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Jean was a faithful Christian lady who loved the Lord with every fiber of her being.</strong></p> <p><strong>She was preceded in death by her parents, Ledford and Mary-Jane Chitwood Davis; brothers, Walter, Joe, Albert, Robert Heston and Haven Davis; sisters, Zilla Mae and Sonja Ruth; grandsons, Christopher Allen King, James King, Gary King and Michael King; and a granddaughter, Casey Rena King.</strong></p> <p><strong>Jean is survived by two sisters, Thelma Jeffers and Margaret Trammell; children, Sheila (Dwayne) Bridges,&nbsp;Kenny King, Kathy (Terry) Hays, Linda Evans, Bruce King, Terry (Kim) Davis, Pamela (David) Cupp; grandchildren, Ronnie, Ashley, Laura Shae, Chad, Lacy, Shelton, Cristy, Amy, Courtney, Joey, Billy, Stephanie, Kendra and Jeremy; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; dearly loved and special friend, Kenneth Kennedy; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>Friends may visit with the Ellis family on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Messer officiating.</strong></p> <p><strong>Committal service will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield.</strong></p> <p><strong>With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.</strong></p> <p><strong>West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Laura Jean Ellis.</strong></p>
