Margarita Maldonado Rodriguez

Margarita Maldonado Rodriguez, age 65 lifelong resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday October 21, 2020.

Margarita was born on November 18, 1954 to her parents Miguel Maldonado and Trinidad Perez Maldonado in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in Altus, Oklahoma and met the love of her life Thomas Rodriguez. Thomas and Margarita were married on August 30, 1974 in Vernon, Texas. Together they spent 23 loving years of marriage together before Thomas passing in 2003. She worked at the Altus Athletics and as a production worker at Bar-S for over thirteen years. Margarita was a follower of Christ and was a member of the Templo Sinai Assembly of God for over forty years. She enjoyed attending Sunday School and listening to Pastor Joe Tovar preach. She was a fierce protector over her girls whom she loved very much. Some of her favorite activities that she enjoyed were playing Bingo and going to the Apache Casino in Lawton, Oklahoma to play the games, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her three daughters, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Christina Rodriguez- Trejo, and husband Saul Trejo, Tomasita Arthur, and husband Quentin Arthur, Jessica Frizzell husband Shawn Frizzell, Jr.; siblings, Sid Maldonado, Gloria Davila, John Maldonado, Lupe (Ruby) Zuniga, Lucio Maldonado, Minnie Chase, Freddy Maldonado, Joanah Woodin, Yolanda Diaz, Mary Ann Martinez, Mary Lou Bara, Alex, Maldonado, and Andrea Maldonado; six grandchildren, Steven Basaldua Essence, Brandon Vega, Jasmin Vega, Wesley Trejo, Aiden Arthur, Sarena Arthur; and two great grandchildren, Ryan Basaldua and Elliott Basaldua.

Margarita was greeted at heavens gates by her husband Thomas Rodriguez; parents, Miguel Maldonado and Trinidad Perez Maldonado; one step brother Miguel Maldonado, JR.; two sisters, Amelia Busto, and Mary Flores; five grandchildren, Ryan, Issiac Basaldua, and two sets of twins; and one son in law, Esequiel Basaldua, Jr.

The Rodriguez family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home, Altus, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Altus City Cemetery.
