Maynard "Bud" Martin

<p>Maynard &quot;Bud&quot; Martin, age 87 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.</p> <p>Born September 29, 1933 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Kelly&nbsp; and Retta&nbsp; (Radcliff) Martin.</p> <p>He retired in 1995 from the Indiana State Highway Department. He had been a resident of Washington County for the past 46 years, was a Bee Man, tending 62 bee hives across Washington County and worked in his wood shop, making furniture, cabinets and bee hives.</p> <p>On November 24, 1960 married&nbsp; Kay Frances (Boyer) Martin, who survives.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Also surviving are:&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> 3 Sons: Teddy Wayne (Pam) Martin of Wylie, Texas; Steve Harrison (Christina) Martin of Salem and James Edward Martin of Avaton, KY<br /> 3 Daughters: Vera Ilene (Danny) Buchanan of Salem,&nbsp; Connie Lynn (Dale) Young of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and Linda Gail (Walter) Rice of Ferdinand, Indiana;<br /> 1 Brother: Kelly (Darlene) Martin of Salem;<br /> 1 Sister: Joy Mae Wynn of Salem;<br /> 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Harold (Johnny) Martin, Ervin Martin, Beechus (Red) Martin and Coy Martin.</p> <p>Funeral Service: 1 pm Sunday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Highland Friends Cemetery.<br /> Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Saturday and 11 am until the time of the service on Sunday.</p>

Maynard "Bud" Martin, age 87 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.

Born September 29, 1933 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Kelly  and Retta  (Radcliff) Martin.

He retired in 1995 from the Indiana State Highway Department. He had been a resident of Washington County for the past 46 years, was a Bee Man, tending 62 bee hives across Washington County and worked in his wood shop, making furniture, cabinets and bee hives.

On November 24, 1960 married  Kay Frances (Boyer) Martin, who survives.  

Also surviving are:
