Marie Lawson, 86, passed away 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her home in Goreville. Marie was a homemaker and Apostolic Minister. Marie was born March 6, 1934 in Vine Grove, Kentucky to Irvin Walker and Nellie Mae (Ford) Swift. Marie was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Lawson on July 7, 1954 in Potosi, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2012. Surviving are, daughter, Ruby Purnell of Tunnel Hill; son, Rev. Joe Lawson and his wife Gayla Lawson of Creal Springs; son, Ben Lawson and his wife Wilma Lawson of Creal Springs; daughter, Nell Parish of Indiana; daughter Anna Lawson of Goreville, Tunnel Hill; daughter; Debra Perry and her husband Rev. Shannon Perry of Goreville, IL; daughter; Traci Horn of Cambria; daughter, Mary Lawson of Energy; 28 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; Curtis and Brenda Swift of Benton, Darrell Swift of Benton; three sisters; Frankie and Mike Bomar of Georgia, Betty and Bob Miller of Indiana, and Mildred and Kenny Mezo of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers; Bobby Swift, Jimmy Swift, Willard Swift; Sisters; Ruby Lavere, Mary Perkins; and son-in-law, Ed Parish. Private Graveside services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Adam Mach, Rev. Joe Lawson, and Rev. Shannon Perry officiating.Obituary
