ELLEN JOYCE NEWHOOK 1923 - 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ellen Joyce Newhook announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on October 21, 2020 at the age of 96. Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Newhook; son-in-law, Gary Tremblett; sisters, Kate, Sue, Tyne, Gertie, Jeannette, Barb, and Dorothy; and brothers, Cyril, Harry, Les, and Ivan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Alan (Janice Newhook) of Lower Sackville, NS; and daughters, Susan (Tim Addison) of Ottawa, ON, Barbara (Bob Caravan) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; Andrea (Adien Godin) of Dartmouth, NS; and Deborah of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren, Tim, Lesley, Leanne, Jodi, Cherie, Stephen, Bryan, and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Katelyn, Gabriel, Rylan, Calleigh, Hunter, and Evelyn Rose, along with her sister Beverly Ruesewald. Rev. Kim Waite will conduct the funeral service at the Memorial United Church in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
