Wright Grayhound Phoenix

<p>Wright &ldquo;Greyhound&rdquo; Phoenix, 58 of Ridgeland, SC was called home by his Lord and Savior on October 16, 2020. Wright was born in Ridgeland, SC on July 03, 1962, to the late Harvey Jenkins and Geneva Phoenix.</p> <p>Wright was raised and loved by his aunt Bernice Young, who also preceded him in death. Wright received his formal education in the Beaufort County School System, where he later graduated from Bluffton High School. After High School Wright would travel to and back home from the North and Back down South. He moved back home and was a dedicated worker to Callawassie Island for 10 years, moving onto Spring Island, and also Chechesee Creek. Wright would eventually turn his career to the Beaufort County Public Works &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Safety Systems, before venturing off to Brunswick, Ga where he worked as a Fisherman for the Georgia Market for about 10 years of his life.</p> <p>&nbsp;During his youth years, wright and a few of his mates from the Community formed a softball team. Wright also joined St. Luke Baptist Church in his teenage years as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;Wright was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva Phoenix and Harvey Jenkins; his son, Wright Minis, his grandmother, Lulina Phoenix, step-grandmother, Martha Phoenix, his grandfather, John Marion Phoenix and his aunts who loved him dearly, Evenlyn and Uncle Joe Phoenix.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;Wright leaves to cherish fond memories, His daughters, Tameka Minis, Kay White and Renetta Minis, Grandchildren; Aaliyah Minis, Damon Gwawthney Jr, Desire Gwathney, Ma&rsquo;Kenzie Aiken, Jada Laurie, Caleb Minis, and Zy&rsquo;aire White; Uncles, Johnny and Samuel Phoenix; Aunt, Christina Phoenix; Brother, Dougie Jenkins, and Larry, sisters; Mary Bolden along with a host of other family, friends, and two special childhood friends, Henry Bolden and Dennis Fripp.</p> <p>&nbsp;Allen Funeral Home Of Ridgeland in Charge.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Here at Allen Funeral Home, we care about your safety. Wright “Greyhound” Phoenix, 58 of Ridgeland, SC was called home by his Lord and Savior on October 16, 2020. Wright was born in Ridgeland, SC on July 03, 1962, to the late Harvey Jenkins and Geneva Phoenix.
