Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Irby, 68, was a native of Pascagoula, MS, and a resident of Moss Point, MS for the past 68 years.  Elizabeth passed away on October 19, 2020, while surrounded by family.

She was the owner of Truth Bonding Company.  She will always be remembered as a strong independent woman, who raised 5 children to be the best they could be in life.  Elizabeth found so much pride in her accomplishment, as a businesswoman in the bonding industry.  Her love for bonding brought her a successful career and connected her to friends and family that she thought so highly of.  Elizabeth had a strong connection with God.  She loved going to church, even in her last days of being sick that was where she wanted to be.

She is survived by her daughters, Lataira Gildersleeve, Shutasica Irby, and Yaleca Shelby; two sons, Gardayus Irby and Danny Irby; brother, Albert Long, Jr.; and one sister, Cora Rogers; grandchildren, Deont’e Gildersleeve, Latavius Gildersleeve, Brandon Nicholson, Jr., Nabria Shelby, Karima Shelby, Keonovan Shelby, Khloe Byrd, Damario Irby, Miyanna Irby, and Ayanna Irby; great-grandchildren, Deont’e Courtney Gildersleeve, III; and many relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  John 14:2-3
