<p>Our beloved Amanda Nicole Ureta, age 33, of Odessa, TX passed away October 17, 2020.</p> <p> </p> <p>Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 PM, Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Garden and Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.</p> <p> </p> <p>Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 23, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Garden with Father Tim Hayter of St Ann’s Parish, officiating.</p> <p> </p> <p>Amanda was born to Albert and Kim Ureta of Odessa, TX on July 7, 1987.</p> <p> </p> <p>Amanda graduated from Odessa High School in 2005 where she soared academically and excelled in soccer. Amanda graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX in May 2010 with a degree in Animal Science. She became a vet tech and made a career out of it for the last ten years. Amanda’s first and foremost love was her dogs, Jr, Charley and Rosie. She was dedicated and passionate to any and all animals. Amanda loved spending any free time with her boyfriend and family, whom she loved very much. Her pastime was watching any Texas Tech game. </p> <p> </p> <p>Amanda is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bobby Sawyer, and her father Albert Ureta.</p> <p> </p> <p>She is survived by her mother Kim Ureta and sister Miranda Ureta, all of Odessa, TX; her maternal grandmother June Sawyer of Odessa, TX; paternal grandparents Miguel and Soccoro Ureta of Fort Stockton, TX; her boyfriend James Pennington of Oklahoma City, OK; her Uncle and Aunt Terry and Stephanie Thomas of San Angelo, Uncle Russ Sawyer of Odessa; her Uncle and Aunt Miguel, Jr and Rebecca Ureta of Fort Stockton; her aunt Enedelia Ureta of Midland; cousins Zachary Thomas of Las Cruces, NM, Andrew Ureta, Sari Urias, Viani Urias, and Cristian Nava of Midland, TX, and a host of relatives and friends.</p> <p> </p> <p>“When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know.”</p>Obituary
