Gary Wayne Bryant, 61, of Burlington, died at 9:54 am Monday, October 19, 2020, at his home.

Born November 10, 1958, in Burlington, he was the son of Duane and Ruth Joann Walsinger Bryant. On April 15, 2006, he married Janice Eileen Purdy in Burlington. 

He worked for the Walmart Warehouse for 24 years, and in-store for one year.

He was of Christian faith. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV, including motor sports. He loved his family, and especially his wife who he always took care of. Janice couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Eileen Bryant of Burlington, one son, Donald Mehaffy of Burlington, one daughter, Beth Bertlshofer of Waukee, IA, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, one brother, Bill (Laura) Bryant of Burlington, one sister Lynn (Pete) Marquis of Ashkum, IL, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and his mother-in-law.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Due to the concerns regarding COVID-19, there will be no services at this time.
