John Lee Hackleman

John Lee Hackleman, 57, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home in Tulsa. He was born on October 1, 1963 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Othol L. and Verna Gay (Jones) Hackleman. John grew up on the family farm southeast of Edna, Kansas in rural Craig County, Oklahoma, he attended school in Welch, Oklahoma graduating from Welch High School. After completing high school John honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp serving as a Field Radio Operator around the United States and the World. Following his discharge he made his home in Tulsa where he was employed by the Bannon Group selling security systems. He was a member of the TAP Pool League in Tulsa and played pool around the country. He also loved football and supported the Kansas City Chiefs and Oklahoma Sooners. Survivors include his mother, Verna Hackleman of Coffeyville; one brother, Daryl Hackleman of Englewood, Colorado; and one sister, Karla Collins of Coffeyville. He was preceded in death by his father, Othol Hackleman. A Memorial Service celebrating John's life will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Veterans Memorial Patio in Fairview Cemetery. Inurnment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
