Wayne Harris Weeseekase

<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Wayne Weeseekase was born on February 21, 1969 in a two room house on Mudie Lake Reserve. Back then, nobody had vehicles and families would harness their horses and sleighs or ask nearby neighbors to take them to town.&nbsp; His mother went into labour and his grandmother and auntie delivered him while the other kids were sent next door to wait. After a short time his uncle came to tell the kids to go home and meet their new little brother.&nbsp; He was the first boy born in the family and his mother was so happy she had her baby boy after 7 girls. She loved Wayne so much but she didn&#39;t get to see her son grow up as he was taken as a baby, a part of the 60&#39;s scoop.&nbsp; Mom passed away in 1978.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He is predeceased by: his mother, Sophie Weeseekase (Nov 30, 1978); his father, Jimmy Wahpistikwan (Dec, 1993); his sisters, Sharon Weeseekase (2010), Eliza Whitstone (Feb 19, 2008), Josephine&nbsp;<br /> Waterhen (Oct, 1995), Millie Weeseeekase (Aug, 1980), and Roselynn Weeseekase (Oct, 1976); his brothers, Norman Partridge (June 30, 2007); his nieces, Julianne Waterhen (July, 2006) and Shakira Crookedneck (Oct 25, 2016); his nephew, Randy Lewis (June, 1978); and his aunt, Amy Waterhen (1998).<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Wayne is survived by:&nbsp; his only son, Jesse Lewis; his sisters, Dawn (Ronnie) Lewis, Patsy (Chris) Weeseekase, Cathy Moses, Patricia (Danny) McCallum, Louise (Brian) Merasty, and&nbsp; Eileen (Lloyd) Matheson; his brothers, Warren Weeseekase, Leon (Marcella) Weeseekase, and James Partridge; his aunts, Martha Wahpistikwan, Christina Fly and Violet Wahpistikwan; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p>
