ANGELINE EN GIN CHONG ING, died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on October 2,
2020, one month after her 100th birthday. Angie was born in Honolulu, graduated from Roosevelt
High School and for many years worked as a travel claims processor at the Pearl Harbor Navy
Supply Center. After retirement she became a world traveler, visiting all fifty states and every
continent except Antarctica. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star (OES), Order of the
Amaranth, and several other Masonic-related women’s organizations. For more than two decades
she supervised the OES Cancer Dressings program, which provided cancer patients with free
handmade bandages to cover chronic open wounds. She also served as an advisor for two local
assemblies of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was the widow of the late
Bennett K. C. Ing, 1996 Grand Master of Masons in Hawaii, and was preceded in death by her
late son Craig (Nora) of California. She is survived by her son Dennis (Charlys) of Honolulu, and
her daughter Brenda-Ann Brundage (Steve) of Virginia, her sister Ramona Suinn of Washington,
her brother Donald Chong (Jane) and her brother-in-law William Joey Ing of Seattle. She also
left seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services are pending.
