Natalie F. (Stevens) Zaleski, 92 of Port Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

She was born October 20, 1927 in Lyman, ME, daughter of Norman and Elizabeth (Clough) Stevens.  Nat, as she was fondly known, was a 1947 graduate of Kennebunk High School.  After graduation she married Stan Zaleski, raising their family in the Lower Village of Kennebunk.  For many years, she worked as a Hostess at “The Landing Restaurant”, which was owned by her brother.  She treasured her children and her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart.  Nat also loved her many animals she had over the years; treating them all like humans.

Natalie was a devout Catholic; a good and faithful servant.  She was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish where she taught Sunday School; was Treasurer and member of the Women’s Guild of the Catholic Church; member of Church Women United, which brought Catholic and Protestant women together; and very active in the Pro-life movement. She was a past member of the OES and past president and member of the Mother’s Club in Lower Village, contributing many recipes to their cookbooks.

Nat was a special woman who always found the best in everyone, even when that was hard to find.  Everyone loved her and her wonderful sense of humor.  When she walked into a room her huge personality filled the air.  She was always the life of the party and will be sorely missed.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Stan Zaleski; daughter Cheryl; brother Frank Stevens; 2 sisters, Norma Lapierre and Leigh Stevens.  Surviving are her son, Stan Clough of Kennebunk; daughter Roxanne; brother Richard (Deke) Stevens and his wife Kathleen of Kennebunk; sister-in-law Joan Stevens; grandchildren, Jennifer, Bubba, Sam, Ben and Vanessa, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
