<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Yolanda (Julian) Beecher of Torrington CT, passed on peacefully to be with her loving family in heaven on October 16, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Beecher for 55 years who pre-deceased her, on May 18, 2020.&nbsp;</p> <p>Yolanda was born on December 19, 1941, to the late John G. Julian and Mary (Audia) Julian Graber.&nbsp;She met her husband Ronald in 1960, and were married on April 24, 1965, together they raised three children.&nbsp;</p> <p>Yolanda was honored for her volunteer work as a Librarian and aid at Riverside Elementary School. She revealed her hidden artistic talents when she hand drew a large mural of a lion for the Riverside Rulers Mascot. She also volunteered teaching CCD at St. Peter Church, and later worked at the Torrington High School Cafeteria. She was well known for working at her brother&rsquo;s restaurant Central Lunch for many years alongside her family.</p> <p>Yolanda was well known for her love of cooking and baking, especially during Christmas time when she carried on her mother&rsquo;s tradition of Christmas Eve celebrations. Being surrounded by family and friends was her pride and joy. Yolanda had a very warm heart and beautiful soul, she was loved by everyone she met. Her deepest love was for her children and grandchildren.&nbsp;</p> <p>Yolanda is survived by her daughter Carla Derrickson of Torrington; sons Ronald Beecher Jr. and wife Jenny Eldridge of Avon, and David Beecher and Kris Brault of Torrington. Five Grandchildren, Justin and Sara Derrickson of Torrington, and Jayden, Mason, and Ayden Beecher of Avon.&nbsp;</p> <p>Besides her husband Ronald, Yolanda was pre-deceased in death by her sister, Frances (Julian) Molon, and Brothers Salvatore, Anthony, and John Julian Jr.&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.&nbsp;&nbsp; Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.&nbsp; Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.&nbsp; Relatives and friends attending funeral services must follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention by observing social distancing and wearing face masks.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Condolences may be sent to Yolanda&rsquo;s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Yolanda (Julian) Beecher of Torrington CT, passed on peacefully to be with her loving family in heaven on October 16, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Beecher for 55 years who pre-deceased her, on May 18, 2020. 

Yolanda was born on December 19, 1941, to the late John G. Julian and Mary (Audia) Julian Graber. She met her husband Ronald in 1960, and were married on April 24, 1965, together they raised three children. 

Yolanda was honored for her volunteer work as a Librarian and aid at Riverside Elementary School.
