Laura Jane Roberson was born on March 22, 1946 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Ray Vernon and Lillian Estell (Trantham) Pitman. She passed away on October 18, 2020 at her home in Pryor. Laura grew up and attended school in Hugo and later in Arizona. She was married to Kenneth Wayne Roberson on November 13, 1964 in Mena, Arkansas. She spent her life as a wife, mom and homemaker; she loved taking care of her family. She was known to be a virtuous woman who loved the Lord, studying her bible and was a prayer warrior. She was born with an amazing way of making people feel welcome, loved and cared for. She was a great cook and enjoyed music; she loved singing and sang lead alto with the Pitman Sisters and the 2nd Exodus Group. Laura always had time for her kids and grandkids and loved spending time with them. She loved her husband deeply and was a loving example of a Godly wife. She will long be remembered for the love she showed to her family throughout her life. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ken, of the home; four children, Angela Penquite and husband Jey of Pryor, Trena Vasquez and husband Jeremy of Pryor, Keith Roberson and wife Katrina of Locust Grove and Teresa Foust and husband Anthony of Denton, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Tabitha Cleveland of Broken Arrow, Jacob Shivers of Pryor, Joshua Anderson of Tulsa, Kayla Roberson of Pryor, Dylan Roberson and wife Alyissa of Locust Grove, Mariah Bedford and husband Nathan of Pryor, Keitan Roberson of Locust Grove, Gracie Roberson of Locust Grove, Caleb Roberson and wife Haylee of McAlester, Aaron Bristol of Denton, Texas, Gabrielle Rodriguez and husband Sergio of Locust Grove and Amanda Blackwell of Locust Grove; seven great grandchildren and six siblings, Linda Lane of Locust Grove, Carole Houck of Seminole, Margaret Pitman of Locust Grove, Kathy Bachelor of Hugo, Phillip Pitman of Locust Grove and Joan Bachelor of Wister. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tresa Roberson; two brothers, Stephen Ray Pitman and Wallace Ray Pitman and niece, Samantha Moody.
