<p>Calumet - Andrew Grgurich age 96, passed away on Friday, October 9th at the Canalview Nursing Home.&nbsp; He was born in Calumet a son of John and Mary (Ozanich) Grgurich.&nbsp; &nbsp;Andrew served in the Army Air Corps during World War ll from 1943 to 1946.&nbsp; He was employed with Cane&#39;s Taxi and the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company as a welder&nbsp;, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.&nbsp; He married the former Rose Zanin in 1948.&nbsp; The couple had one son, Andrew who is a resident of the Canalview Medical Care Facility.&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Emil,&nbsp;and his sisters Mary, Angeline and Frances.&nbsp; Rose passed away in 2016.&nbsp; He is survived by son Andrew and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Carol (Ray) Peterson of Harrison, MI.&nbsp; A Mass of Christian Burial&nbsp; is scheduled&nbsp; for Friday October 16th at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the Lake View Cemetery.</p>

Calumet - Andrew Grgurich age 96, passed away on Friday, October 9th at the Canalview Nursing Home.  He was born in Calumet a son of John and Mary (Ozanich) Grgurich.   Andrew served in the Army Air Corps during World War ll from 1943 to 1946.  He was employed with Cane's Taxi and the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company as a welder , he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.  He married the former Rose Zanin in 1948.  The couple had one son, Andrew who is a resident of the Canalview Medical Care Facility. He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Emil, and his sisters Mary, Angeline and Frances.  Rose passed away in 2016.  He is survived by son Andrew and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Carol (Ray) Peterson of Harrison, MI.  A Mass of Christian Burial  is scheduled  for Friday October 16th at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev Fr.
