James "Jim" V. Hawco

<p>From Chapel&#39;s Cove, NL<br /> Hawco, James &quot;Jim&quot; Vincent Passed peacefully away after a long and productive life on October 4, 2020, James &quot;Jim&quot; Vincent Hawco of Chapel&#39;s Cove. Jim passed as he lived, quietly and gently, on his 92nd birthday at Glenbrook Lodge following a brief stay, surrounded by love and broken hearts. Jim was predeceased by his infant son James, parents; Patrick and Rachel (Fewer) Hawco, brothers: Fred, Raymond, Patrick, Albert, and John, sister Viola, father- and mother-in-law; Joseph and Anastasia (Corbett) Myers, sisters-in-law Patricia Mauger and Doreen Cantwell, son-in-law Aiden Whelan, and great-grandson Noah Whelan. Jim leaves to mourn with cherished memories his: loving wife of 64 years Mary (nee Myers), sons: Edmund, Wayne (Madonna), Brian (Darlene), Terry (Beverly) and Gary (Darlene), daughters: Marlene Wall (Gerry Hayward), Audrey Whelan and Cynthia Hawco. Also left with beloved memories are Jim&#39;s grandchildren: Tiffany Hawco, Mark Hawco (Katie), Alicia Wall (Richard), Alannah Costello (Adam), Krystyn Hawco (Brandon), Mandy Whelan, A.J. Whelan (Carla), Joshua Hawco (Brigid), Ryan Hawco (Dana) and James Hawco (Amanda), great-grandchildren: Leah and Maci Hawco, Lauren Costello and Thea Hawco, his sister Mary Costigan, brother-in-law James Myers (Bernadette), sisters-in-law; Loretta Healey (Patrick), Theresa Morrissey and Debbie Strapp (Patrick), as well as his many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of relatives and friends. If friends so desire, donations in Jim&#39;s memory may be made to Sts. Peter &amp; Paul Parish, Harbour Main. The family is forever grateful for the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by his family physician Dr. Sheppard, the paramedics with Fewer&#39;s Ambulance, the physicians, nurses, and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, as well as the staff at Community Health, Holyrood, and Glenbrook Lodge, and Father Clem Flaherty and Father Joe Mroz for their kindness and support. Resting at Dunphy&#39;s Funeral Home, Holyrood, the family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Please remember to follow Covid-19 Restrictions and practice social distancing. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter &amp; Paul Church, Harbour Main on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Sts. Peter &amp; Paul Cemetery, Chapel&#39;s Cove.
