Kelli Leigh Roy

ROY, Kelli Leigh - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Kelli Leigh Roy (Stoddard) on October 17, 2020, at the age of 55. She was born in Shelburne County on November 24, 1964 to Linda Reynolds and the late Stanton Stoddard. Kelli was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, a diagnosis she never let bring her down. She always insisted on making lemonade out of lemons during every step of her courageous battle. Our mother was a loving, vibrant, unique woman whose greatest gift in life were her 4 children, Cherakee (Tim), Mahdyna, Jerika (Alex) and Renkee. Kelli took great pride in her beautiful gardens that brought her so much happiness each spring. We will miss our annual trips to PEI, epic shopping adventures and her unconditional love. Besides her children, she is survived by her loving husband, Reno; cherished granddaughter, Frania (Little Miss); sisters, Trinda and Nicole; as well as nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by husband, Sammy Sode; and brother, Stanley. The family would like to sincerely thank the numerous healthcare workers who helped during this journey. The wonderful QEII Oncologist, Dr. Melvin and her nurse, Carmen who both brought Mom so much comfort and support over the last 2 years; surgeon, Dr. Helyer, staff at the SSRH chemotherapy unit. We want to express our deep gratitude to the incredible Palliative Care Team led by Doctor Gowan. With her team we always felt well taken care of. We would also like to acknowledge numerous VON nurses (a heartfelt thank you to Liz in particular), and EHS who were shining lights for our family when we were most in need. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the IWK.
