Marvin E. Hanks, age 64, May 23, 2017. Marvin served his country for 14 years as a Supply Sergeant in the U.S. Army including combat in Beruit & Korea. He enjoyed playing darts, spending time with his grandchildren and the company of his dog KC.
Survived by his loving long-time girlfriend & best friend: Karen Cameron of Mio, MI;
his doting daughter: Alexandrea (William) Boren of Cincinnati, OH; sister: Rosetta Stockwell of Linden, MI; brothers: Dennis Hanks of Attica, MI, Terry Hanks of Owasso, MI and Charles Hanks of Thomas, MI; also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Norman Hanks II, Henry Hanks, William Boren III and Madilyn Boren of Cincinnati, OH.
He was preceded in death by his son: Norman Hanks Sr. and his parents: Earl & Betty Hanks.
He was also loved by his step-grandsons: Dominique Boren and Xavier Boren of Cincinnati, OH; his first wife & mother of his children: Diane Ross of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law: Dina Hanks of Cincinnati, OH; Mr. & Mrs. Spencer Weaver and their children Katrina, Jax and Trinity of Mio, MI.
Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 10-12 with a funeral service at noon. Interment with military honors will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Oakwood Cemetery in Oxford.
