Jonathan Scott Taylor, 38, of Hurley, MS passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 surrounded by family. He was born on December 17, 1981 to John Carlton Taylor and Barbara Sue Anderson Taylor in Pascagoula, MS. Jonathan graduated from East Central High School in 2000. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pranks on his sisters. He shared his life with partner Lisa Jones and son John Cleo “CJ” Taylor. Jonathan will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Taylor; grandparents, Clarence Joseph Anderson Sr., Barbara Jeanette Anderson, Yancy Peter “YP” Taylor, and Frances Louise Taylor; life partner, Lisa Jones. Jonathan is survived by his son, CJ Taylor of Hurley, MS; extended children, Jonathan and Amber Goff; father, John Taylor of Hurley, MS; sisters, Stephanie (Adam) Burks of Moss Point, MS, Lauren (Brandon) Martino of D’Iberville, MS and Lindsey Taylor of Daphne, AL; nieces, Sydney Burks, Leila Burks, Emily Burks, and Gemma Martino; nephew, Ian Burks, along with other family and friends. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that anyone attending the memorial service please wear a face mask to protect our friends and family and to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
