Lucy May Andrews Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy May (Burden) Andrews announces her passing. Lucy was ushered into the presence of the Lord at the Central Newfoundland Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Friday, October 16th, 2020 at the age of 79 years.

Predeceased by her parents - Henry & Mary Burden; parents-in-law - Cluney & Blanche Andrews; siblings - Myrtle Butt (Ben), Maude Russell (Gordon) and Paul Burden and siblings-in-law - Harold Russell, Joe Deering, Jean Andrews, Clifford Harris, Dean Morgan, Wayne Saunders and Orvin Short.

Left with fond and loving memories is her husband of 56 years - Edward Andrews; children - Stephen Andrews, Ivan Andrews (Annmarie), Paul Andrews, Philip Andrews (Kim), Scott Andrews, Paula Andrews (Glen) and Jamie Andrews (Crystal); grandchildren - Brianna, Justin, Jason, Samantha, Gabriella, Kenzie and Nicholas; great grandchildren - Josie and Colton; siblings - Doris Russell, Hubert Burden (Margaret) and Guy Burden (Stella); siblings-in-law - Lillian Mitchell (Woodrow), Annie Deering, Dorothy Curtis (Raymond), James Andrews (Vera), Geraldine Harris, Gwen Morgan, Nina Saunders, Wayne Andrews (Elizabeth), Valerie Short and Victor Andrews (Nola) as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public Visitation, following specific COVID-19 guidelines, took place at Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL on Sunday, October 18th, 2020 from 7:00-9:00PM.

Pastor Jamie & Angela Payne conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Bethel Pentecostal Church, La Scie, NL on Monday, October 19th, 2020. Interment followed at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, La Scie, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucy’s memory to Bethel Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 51, La Scie, NL A0K 1B0.

“I have spent all my life on earth preparing to take a trip from here to Heaven’s throne, with the shield and word of God to guide me, it’s a comfort knowing I am not alone. So when I take my final, fleeting breath and fade into the gentle sleep of death - celebrate me home!”

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
