BODKIN, Norma Jean, 84, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family and her boyfriend, Bob. Norma was born September 18, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana. She met her husband, John Bodkin, at the Grand Ol Opery in Nashville, TN. They moved to Arizona where they would raise their three children. She along with her husband John were great parents and grandparents who loved unconditionally. They taught so many of us the true meaning of a loving family. We were always met at the door with a hug and a kiss and the same when it was time to leave. We are forever grateful for their example of love and to have been loved by them. She loved being a grandma and making things special for her grandkids. She enjoyed shopping and lunch dates with her granddaughters. The grandsons were equally special, she would whip up pancakes and her yet to be duplicated famous syrup. She enjoyed spending time with Bob at their place in Heber, Arizona. Had a love for cruises along with family and friends. Norma is survived by her children: Kelly Corley, Tracy (Doug) Hungerford and Kyle (Cristi) Bodkin, grandchildren: John Bodkin, Krystal Gannon, Brandon Corley, Steven Bodkin, Nathan Corley, Troy Hungerford, Ryan Bodkin and Kylee Bodkin and great grandchildren: Kaidence Bodkin, Baylee Bodkin, Maddux Bodkin and Noah Gannon. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Bodkin, son, John Bodkin Jr and parents, Charles Burris and Lillabelle Donahue. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Hospice for their genuine care during her last days. We are also extremely thankful and grateful for Pam Paff’s love, care, and compassion for her Aunt Norma. We could not have done this without you. Due to current Covid 19 restrictions, services will be held privately for the family.
