Clarice Fisher Small
<p>Clarice Fisher Small, a truly outgoing, hardworking, and fun loving lady who was a friend to everyone she met, departed this life to be with her eternal Savior on October 14, 2020 after a long battle with the after effects of a stroke, diabetes, heart disease, and ultimately, the Covid-19 virus. Clarice was born August 23, 1931, to the late Charles Calvin Fisher, Sr. and the late Louise Roberts. Clarice was predeceased by one brother, Perry Reginald Fisher of Charlotte, N.C. and is survived by half-sister, Libby Latham (Fred) of West Columbia, S.C. and half-brother Henry Lesesne (Teri) of Conroe, Texas.</p> <p> </p> <p>She was married to her lifelong friend, Albert Jay Eller of Pineville, N.C. and surviving this marriage are children, Perry Martin Eller (Janalyn Raye Toney) of Gainesville, GA; Charles Fisher (“Jet”) Eller (Anne Fontaine Egger) of Charlotte, N.C.; and Marie Eller Root (Mike) of Iron Station, N.C.</p> <p><br /> Clarice was predeceased by husbands Bill Goss and Ancle Small. With these two subsequent marriages, she gained children; Bill Goss, Jr.; Brenda Young and Linda Small, both of Fort Lawn, S.C.; Roger Small (Barbara) of Lancaster, S.C.; Larry Small (Patty) of Lancaster, S.C.; Johnny Small of Fort Lawn, S.C.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Clarice was also predeceased by two stepsons, Gary Columbus Small and Jessie Allen Small.</p> <p> </p> <p>Clarice was active in her community and a faithful member of the High Point Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, served on the bereavement committee, and made crafts for numerous church fundraising activities. In addition, she extended blessings to many others in her community by volunteering with hospice and the Fort Lawn Community Center.</p> <p> </p> <p>Clarice’s family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who have blessed them through their actions and prayers, with special thanks to her staff at Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center, the doctors, nurses and hospice staff at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, S.C. <br /> <br /> A Celebration of Life Service will be held sometime next spring during Clarice’s favorite time of the year.</p> <p> </p> <p>Memorials may be made to High Point Free Will Baptist Church, 2095 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720 or to a charity of your choice.</p> <p> </p>Obituary
