<p><strong>Batesburg–Graveside services for Sara S. Harmon, 82, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church of Lexington with the Rev. Emma Murphy and Rev. Faye Stephens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Congregational Care of Mt. Horeb UMC. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.</strong></p> <p><strong> Mrs. Harmon died Thursday October 15, 2020. Born in Gaston, she was a daughter of the late Perry Lucious and Sarah Ellen Donehue Spires. She was a member of Mt. Horeb UMC where she was a former treasurer. She was a former Batesburg-Leesville Cub Scout Den Mother and cookie chairman for the Girl Scouts. Mrs. Harmon retired from O. L. Holley and Sons and retired from North Brothers.</strong></p> <p><strong> Survivors include a daughter, Donna H. Richardson, a granddaughter, Jennifer A. Richardson, brothers, Larry J. and Steve Spires, sister, Annie Laura Sturkie.</strong></p> <p><strong> She was predeceased by her husband, Ellis D. Harmon, son, Alex D. Harmon, brother, Robert L. Spires, sister, Doris S. Branch and a son-in-law, W. Carroll Richardson.</strong></p> <p><strong> The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lavette Roark and to Amedisys Home Health Care for their love and care.</strong></p>October 15, 202010/15/2020
