Crystal Rose Alvarado Born, Donna Rosemary Pedrow, on October 27, 1956 was called to join the Lord in Heaven on the fourteenth day of October, 2020 at 12:57 am. She passed away in her home and was surrounded in love by her husband, children, sister and brother in law. Crystal Rose was born in Lancaster, California and attended high school in Quartz Hill, CA. She was a long time resident of the Antelope Valley. Crystal was always a strong leader. She was the Inventory Control Supervisor at Edwards Air Force Base for 17 years. In 1974, Crystal had her first daughter, Balinda Eileen. Her middle child, April Christine was born in 1975 and her youngest, Tawnya Marie in 1979. Crystal met William Alvarado in 1995 and they were joined in marriage on April 8, 2000. It was then that she welcomed her stepson, Nicholas James. In January 2018 Crystal and William retired in Ferron, Utah. Crystal was a gifted seamstress. She would make dresses for her daughters, family, bridesmaids and brides. She loved creating, from blankets to curtains and clothes. We would often see her at the sewing machine playing her favorite country music. Crystal was a child of God. She believed in Jesus and never let anything set her back. She fought for those she loved and the values she believed in. She was a protector of her family and loved them with all her heart. Crystal’s smile, like sunshine, could light up any room and it was always loving and warm. From her classy style to her great taste, she inspired beauty and love in all aspects of her life. Crystal was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her parents, Ron and Jane Ellis, her three daughters, Balinda (spouse Thomas) Dubois, April Jenkins and Tawnya Hovey, her brothers, sisters and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Crystal was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Helen Skinner; her brother, Terry Wilson Carter; and her stepson, Nicholas James Alvarado. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
