Antonio Cortez Jr. 71 yrs old of Dover, Florida passed away on October 9, 2020 in Houston, Tx. Antonio was born in San Benito, Tx to Antonio Cortez Sr and Juanita Aleman Cortez on August 24,1949. A loyal son, brother and uncle, Antonio devoted his life to his wife, daughters and 6 grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, family, children, and grandchildren. May you rest easily papi. You will forever live in our hearts and memories. Antonio is survived by his two daughters; Maricela Cortez Garcia (Salmon Garcia) of Dover Florida and Marisol Cortez Olivo ( Robert Olivo) of Houston, Tx. Six grandkids Austin Julian Cortez, Isaac Marcial Garcia, Elian Guadalupe Garcia, Joncarlo Cortez, Sari Vivianna Garcia and Iris Sarai Olivo. Rejoicing with him in heaven is his wife Benita M Cortez, Dad Antonio Cortez Sr, mom Juanita Aleman Cortez, and son in law Robert Olivo. Honored to serve as pallbearers are his nephews; Pablo Lejía, Johnny Leija, Ross Leija, Robert Barrientos, Ismael Guerrero, Arnoldo Cortez Jr, David Saucedo, Chito Molina, Edwardo Molina, Chris Trevino, Rick Guerrero. Due to current restrictions, this establishment will follow the 25% occupancy limit and all persons shall institute social distancing of a minimum space of 6 feet apart. All individuals must wear face coverings or masks. (may include bandanas or sewn or cloth face coverings). Visitation will be held on October 15, 2020 at 4-7pm with rosary to follow 7-9pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
