Catherine Redmond was born June 12, 1948, in Moscow, Arkansas, to the late Reddick, Borkin Jr., and Willie, Grace Borkin's maiden name (Hunt).

She attended Pine Bluff High School in the early 60s during the time schools were intergrating. Catherine married the late Theodore Redmond, Senior in1975; they were married for over 45 years.

Catherine moved to 726 SE Lawrence Street, Topeka, Kansas, in the 1970s. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Aid and Home Health Care worker for over 20 years.

Catherine believed in helping others, and her house was considered the neighborhood home. A child would never go hungry or in need of shelter or clothing in her presence. She was concerned about others.

Catherine loved her favorite hobbies: bingo, cards, and watching westerns. Her favorite snack was popcorn and Pepsi.

Catherine Redmond leaves behind her daughter, Latrice (Michael) Gooden of Abilene, Texas; son, Henry Davis of Topeka, KS; daughter, Nancy, McCants (Mac) of (Topeka, Kansas) daughter, Audrey Redmond of (Topeka, Kansas), son, Promise Redmond of (Topeka, Kansa), daughter, Doris Young of (Texas), daughter, Ruby Redmond of (Louisiana), daughter Jane, Lingo of (Maryland), daughter Juanita, Hawkins of (Michigan), and son Theodore, Redmond Jr. of (Topeka, Kansas). She leaves behind her sister, Thelma Redmond (Truman) of (Louisiana), sister, Patricia, Borkin's of (Pine, Bluff Arkansas), sister, Geneva of (Pine, Bluff Arkansas) and Caroline, Watts of (Michigan), and a host of grand-children, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special consideration to her friend, Dorthela Brown (Mrs. Dot) of (Topeka, Kansas), Ron, Perry of (Kansas), Sophie, Shane of (Horton, Kansas), Jan, Harper of (Topeka, Kansas), and Twin of Topeka, Kansas, and her favorite cousin, Olivia Ailsworth.
