Pearl June Nicoletti Obituary

Pearl (her birthstone) June (her birth month) Nicoletti (AKA Midge) Pearl Nicoletti was born on June 21, 1928 in Detroit to Donato and Florence Nicoletti. Her father nicknamed her Midge because she was born premature and that name sticks with her to this day. She graduated from Detroit Southeastern High School. She began her working career at Sanders Ice Cream Parlor and soon after Pearl started a new and long-lasting career with the Kuhlman Corporation in Troy. Pearl was a very independent and determined woman and not afraid to speak her mind, which probably was a catalyst to move her quickly up through the ranks of the data processing department achieving the top position of managing director within the department. After 42 successful years with Kuhlman, Pearl decided to retire at age 62 when Borg Warner purchased the company, but not before she was offered to move with them to Ohio to continue her career. She respectfully declined and began an enjoyable retirement traveling and took up tap dancing to help keep her active. Pearl always enjoyed the getting together with her family for the holidays. She was a big supporter the Leader Dogs for the Blind. Pearl is survived by Sister Jean (Tom) Landa, Tony Ficorelli (the late Florence), Terry (Jhett) Ficorelli, Rick (Marianne) Ficorelli, Cindy Ficorelli, Lisa (Rob Noble), Felicia Landa, Jill (Chuck) Turnbull, Santo (Julie) Landa, Danny (Karen) Landa, Angela (Lloyd)Lind, The late Gasper Landa, Jeanne (Mark) Mikulski, Tommy (Tina) Landa, Tony (Nancy Landa), Denise (the late Jim) Deveraux, Debbie (Dave) Deveraux, Diane (Vince) Mattina, Dawn (Michael) Lacoursiere, Guy Nicoletti, Jodie Nicoletti. Pre deceased by her parents Donato and Florence, Florence Ficorelli, Ruby (Sylvano) Delturco, Joseph (Jean)Nicoletti. Family will receive friends Monday, October 19, 2020 from 10am until the time of service at 12pm at A.J.
